The MHA cricket team has been selected. Ranging across all political persuasions, the best and the worst are separated to create a strong team of good, and a strong team of very ordinary. Not all MHA’s are mentioned (some prefer the footy).
The First XI
The best of the current players in no particular order after the Captain and Vice Captain:
Peter Gutwein (C) - The sheet anchor
Nick McKim (VC) - Full range of shots
Lara Giddings - Energetic first drop
Kathryn Hay - Top smile
Rene Hidding - Wicket Keeper

The Horror Camp
Blacklisted, bad influence on the team:

Michael Hodgman - Screams abuse at team mate Jackson
Brenton Best - Doesn’t know the ball from the bat
Brett Whiteley - Only bowls bouncers
Judy Jackson - Screams abuse at team mate Hodgman
David Llewellyn - Sleeps at training, sleeps during matches.
Working Hard For Selection:
Heather Butler - New from the Academy, unknown quantity
Graeme Sturges - Sturgo, the larrikin
Peg Putt - Good intentions, lacks focus
Geoff Rollins is 24, married and lives in Launceston. Originally from Burnie, and having also lived in Hobart and Bridport, he holds a degree in Information Systems (Electronic Commerce) which is terribly boring, but has managed to balance this through a more interesting career within a maritime training and consultancy company. His main interests include Scuba Diving, the outdoors and Tasmanian politics.
