I have ceased using the concept of “editions”, which I decided was a hangover from the days of print media, and have adopted instead the concept of a continually updated format.
The advantage for you is that new material will appear more regularly and will be more current. The temporary downside is that the changeover has taken up much of my time and hence some of the material I would normally write myself has been held back—but only for a few days.
What I intend doing is emailing you every Monday advising you about what has been added over the previous week. I encourage you, though, to check more regularly in areas of particular interest to you.
I take this opportunity to welcome on board Sarajane as a regular music reviewer in our entertainment section. I look forward to adding some downloadable mp3 files of music recorded by her group, Selkie.
Also joining the team is Hobart-based freelance writer Margaretta Pos, who will be providing occasional material on Tasmanian art and theatre. She will be introduced to in the next couple of days through a piece she has written about attending her class reunion.
And long-time freelance travel writer David Ellis has also started contributing.
So, cheers for now and keep spreading the word.
