Image for Cut the spinners, not the coppers

Clearly, Lara Giddings and the state Labor government are deluded when accusing the Police Association of scaremongering.

Is it not scary to suggest that there will be less police on the streets? Remember that it was Lara Giddings who first suggested that less police is a necessary cost cutting measure.

The Australian Democrats fully support the Police Association in this matter and agree whole heartedly. Cutting cops is a crime.

The Labor Government has been acting like bank robbers on a spending spree.

Now the big sack of money has run dry and they are looking for a new way of making a dollar.

Cutting police shouldn’t be it.

How about cutting down on the number of public servants in the spin division of Ms Giddings’ office?

How about cutting back on wasteful ministerial allowances?

Any attack on police is a criminal action. To cut police numbers is a ridiculous move that puts live is danger. Cutting police numbers will not only put lives of police men and women in danger but also that of every single Tasmanian.

Ms Giddings are you happy at the prospect of putting Tasmanians in danger? If the answer is no, then why are you doing it?

Why do you value your political spin department more than you value the lives of your electorate?
