Meanwhile the Academy is getting worse retention than ever before and the end of year results for students look disappointing if I am to go by what teachers in the academy are saying to me. The teachers in the academy have had their morale broken by the bohemoth that is Shared Services (ie the TAFE admin). Teachers are now doing more admin than every before. So much for the promise of less. The survey by the AEU last week should be enlightening (particularly for the union itself who is starting to lose members in the college sector as the union tries to please everyone it represents ie college teachers, tafe teachers, principals, and ends up pleasing no-one by its inaction)
