Australian Greens Condemn Norwegian Bombing and Shooting
The Australian Greens condemn the shocking bombing of a Government building in Oslo which has left at least seven people dead, and the cold blooded shooting of ten young people at youth camp in Norway.
“As we all struggle to understand these completely unprovoked attacks on innocent people, we extend our sympathy to the families of all victims and to the government and people of Norway whose experience of living in a safe, peaceful, democratic country has been shattered by these appalling acts of extreme violence.” Australian Greens Acting Leader Senator Christine Milne said today.
“Such a direct attack on democracy and its institutions must be condemned and the perpetrators brought to justice.
“Mass shooting of young people goes straight to the heart of a community and we want the Norwegian community to know that we are supporting them at this time of overwhelming grief and shock.”
