More than 12 million people are affected by famine and war in East Africa. The epicentre for this crisis is the Horn of Africa and the countries of Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Eritrea.
The region’s need for food aid is immediate and overwhelming. This special explores the origins of the current crisis with leading thinkers in the field, aid agencies and the UN.
And local musicians and artists bring the sounds and sensations of Africa.
