So sad.

I cycle 17klms each way to work daily. 99.9% of drivers are normal people. That 0.1% is insane.

I’ve seen Aussie flags on trucks, wheels turned into gutters, acceleration to the corners and “slow-down squeezes.”

On the weekend, some nutter ran down cyclists on a fund raiser in Melbourne. There was the incident at Mascot in Sydney, the bogans near Ulverstone wiping out a cyclist with a car door and the female Olympic cyclists in Europe swiped by a drunk driver.

Any nutters care to respond? You don’t like lycra? You don’t like skinny people?

Its just such a shame that some people are so intolerant of others and their rights on the road. While I accept there are cyclists who would be better served by being more respectful of motorists, the bottom line is that some of the clowns in cars and TRUCKS obviously have not thought through the realities of what it would mean to hit a cyclist. Unfortunately I have lost the plot a few times and chased down the odd vehicle to the next set of lights ...not sure if my outbursts have made any difference…I suspect not to the last guy who said next time “You shouldnt be on the road, next time I will run over you”.
