Whereever forest is cleared to make way for a Carbon sink you can be sure that the Carbon accounting is false and the premise behind the program is also false.

Roger, I’m with you all the way. Dead language is for a dead world. Does nifty not understand the admirable restraint you (and others) are showing in the face of a concerted push to do us, and the world, in.  The question for any writer addressing Tasmania’s body politic and how it is controlled by the logging industry, is to adequately express the hysterical insanity of what’s going on down here. Polite reportage isn’t going to cut the mustard in the big swim.

I seem to remember certain pro-mill bloggers suggesting anyone who seriously considered this an option was a fantasist. Furthermore John Gay is on the record to the Advocate as saying the Fins weren’t involved. Mind you this is the same man who told ABC that ANZ had locked in for finance.
