Tasmania’s electricity retailer wants to hit Tasmanians with an 11 per cent rise in power bills.
Aurora is blaming rising infrastructure costs for its decision.
The company today submitted a proposal to Tasmania’s independent Economic Regulator for the increase on July 1.
It comes after the company flagged about a 2.5 per cent rise on the distribution part of the bill, which will come into effect next year.
