Nice one Dave, but there are two faults with this.
Firstly the picture. We have it on good authority from gunns that their mill is to be built in a heavy industrial area between a power station and a smelter. I am sure there are no white doves in that environment. All I can see is a large area od native bushland. Are you sure you’ve got the right area?
Secondly - this $15 per tonne? Isn’t that a bit excessive? I remember reading somewhere that they paid for ‘dry tonnes’ and that is only half the weight as it is shipped out from the forest. Also, the price is geared to the international price of pulp, and that has nosedived in the last two months. Nearer to $5 - $6 per tonne as it comes out of the forests. But will we ever know. ‘Commercial in confidence’, perhaps and hidden under a layer of FOI crap?
I think Gunns needs to do bit moe work on this one. Maybe they should use a two-headed fish instead of a dove for their logo?
