We are approaching the sixth anniversary of the sinking of the SIEV-X, in which 353 asylum seekers died trying to reach Australia.

Each year, a simple commemoration ceremony is held at the SIEV-X memorial site at Cornelian Bay to mark this tragic event.

This year’s commemoration will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, 21 October.  Everyone is welcome.
