So where does Mr Rockliff get off at suggesting that we might see “the mother-of-all negative and personal election campaigns” this time?  The fact is that the Liberal Party’s conduct in 2006 plumbed the depths where that sort of thing is concerned and their lack of an apology has kept them there.  They have completely forfeited the moral high ground and on that account any complaint they make about any campaign tactic employed against them can only be regarded (and dismissed) as sooking.
