A new health report highlights major problems at Tasmania’s Launceston General Hospital. The Department of Health and Human Services has released its latest progress chart. Problems are apparent when figures for the three months to September are compared with the same period in previous years. Admissions were up slightly at the Launceston General, but pressure on outpatient services jumped by more than 13 per cent. There was also a 10 per cent increase in patients using the Emergency Department.
