BEFORE the filmmaker Morgan Spurlock shamed McDonald’s in Super Size Me came the McLibel Two — Helen Steel and Dave Morris. You might remember the former gardener and postman were sued by the hamburger behemoth after they distributed leaflets condemning, in a cheeky anarchist rant, the company’s food, ethics and business practices. After the longest trial in English history, the judge ruled in June 1997 that the pair had libelled the company and should pay £60,000 damages.
