If the Police were to make just TWO significant arrests and lay charges, they wouldn’t have to bother with any protestors again.
Try arresting John Gay and Paul Lennon for (!) and attempts to spend the public purse on private enterprise, destruction of the environment and a host of other things, and the other protestors would all pack up and go home. Apart from that, it would be an enormous benefit to Tasmania.
We would also save an huge amount on sudsidies and have enough money for a few more worthwhile things, like paying nurses, etc.
Have a look at that website posted by Bazza in comment one, and follow the page to the exclusive pictures of the bridge climbers.
Their exclusive pic isn’t even of the Batman Bridge, it looks like somewhere in Europe! Nice one fellas! Says a lot about the people who write the blog and the ideals they support…..

#3. Look, we’re a respectable publishing house dedicated to meet the world standards of the logging industry in all domains, including publishing.
With that sort of guarantee, it’s hard to see how you could question the photo.
How is it supposed to work? One person makes a wild claim and responsible web sites change their pictures? None of you would have a bar of it.
Our photographer assured us that our picture was the Batman bridge so it’s one person’s word against another. I admit it’s been difficult since we’ve outsourced our photography but, we’re self-policing, so everything should be OK.

It is understood that 6 police cars attended an incident in Wellington St Launceston.
Two men were seen waving boards on a street corner. After barricading themselves in a local store, the two men were convinced to lay down there boards and were arrested on charges of public nuisance.
A police spokesman stated that these men were a danger to the public and motorists could have been distracted causing a serious accident.
It is understood that these men had been on the corner for 2 years and no one had noticed. It was only when they had started to wave their signs that they attracted the attention of the police.
One of the men said; “Two pizzas at $11.95! Think of the kids! How else could we get the message across?”
Police are seeking to recover costs.
