The quoted Liblabs support of Forestry and Tourism……….

Takes me back to Dover at Easter time last year when we drove back to the north of the island, abandoning our holiday with interstate guests and left the tour operators despondent and with no income from us (and many others) due to the forestry “burn offs”.
There was even talk of them closing down at this magnificent time of year due to the smoke, problems with asthma, and for the tourists, just the sheer ugliness of it all.

So is the Liblabs support for forestry or the tourists?

Forestry and tourism are ways of generating income.  The easiest path to electoral success is to convince voters you will provide an environment in which the generation of income will be increased.

Foestry and tourism are no more about the welfare of forests or of tourists than the footwear retail industry is about the welfare of shoes.

The problem with the Greens is that they want to convince us that forests and tourists are more important than the income to be gained from exploiting them.  They will never succeed.

The Colour green complained the other colours cheat, and they are Nasty.
That is stability.

The color red complaining, the colour green isn’t so green and you wouldn’t really want blue, because deep down inside blue may be secret admirers of green. That is stability.

The colour blue stating we would you rather you vote green than red but if cant vote red then vote blue,  That is stability.

Tasmanians overall must have been happy with the past 4 years as we re-elected most of them, yes we played around the edges a little, but on the hole comparatively unruffled. That is stability.

I consider the real explanation we haven’t changed the Tasmanian government is we are all to busy Collecting shopper dockets. Politicians are very similar to petrol prices. As long as they don’t change too much and they all offer about the same deal, Mr&Mrs; Tasmanian society is happy.

After all the state election was about stability………
