Isn’t Col (not “Cole”) Bailey a rather curious choice to be informing the public about the thylacine on Threatened Species Day, given that he still believes the thing exists, which rather misses the point of including the thylacine in Threatened Species Day (that extinctions happen, lest we forget etc) so far as mainstream scientific opinion is concerned?
