Could Geoff Cousins please cut the phone lines to Gunns and the Government ... Pleeeeease!

It makes me wonder? And what affinity does Paul Lennon have with struggling Tasmanians?  John Gay, couple of ex-Premiers and a boardful of Gunns - all struggling! All in need of a little help.

But on the other hand, what affinity do the struggling Tasmanians have with Paul Lennon. At the last count it was 6763 against and a measly 49 for.

Malcolm Turnbull’s office has received 20,000 representations after he called for public submissions on his pulp mill assessment Monday last.

This in on top of the 6,700 submissions his Department of Environment & Water Resources received when the first call for Commonwealth assessment submissions occurred in April 2007.

GetUp.com has well over 20,000 Australians registering their opposition to the pulp mill.

Several community petitions against the mill with thousands of Tasmanians signatures on them are being placed before the State Parliament.

As several speakers at today’s rally outside parliament stated voters are in no mood to vote for disingenuous politicians…they WILL remember them.  People are angry & fed-up by the lies and corruption. The mood was ‘LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!’ or be prepared for continued expressions of people power.

And where - they asked - is the Party of Will Hodgman?

Hopefully not in the back pocket of the man with the Gunn!

Just what did all you hopefulls expect of a Labor politician post Latham, indeed post Whitlam.

Winning all the Tasmanian seats is what they dream of as their path to the Treasury benches.[“Money, money, money that’s all you white fellas think about.” Marundoo Yanner].

Further they also believe that Green voters have no choice but to turn to Labour with prefernces [or not vote] and hence the green vote will find a hollow offer from Labor.

Yes many will be fooled and the Greens only choice is to offer no preferences in most seats and turn the outcome in a few selected seats [eg Wentworth, Bennnelong and Lyons] on their predicted heads so that attention is paid to them for many elections hence.

For the balance the strength of the greens arguement and policies will have to suffice and not the backroom deals all those party number crunchers get their jollies from.
