THE arrival of four puppies to be trained as scent-tracking dogs has boosted Tasmania’s fox eradication efforts. Primary Industries and Water Minister David Llewellyn said yesterday the dogs were selected following an extensive study to determine the best fox tracking breeds. Two German shorthaired pointers and two German wirehaired pointers were chosen to join the eradication crew. The dogs were imported from Germany and Romania, costing between $800 and $1200. What a pathetic performance by Llewellyn and Bester last night on Television.
Poor old Lewy, he knows he is in deep shit. The FEDS sniffing about, even people in his own party suggesting that he is in deep shit.
Nine years and no fox…but we have the new fox puppies.
Lewy says there are fifteen foxes here…well Lewy “where the bloody hell are they”?
This must be the nine hundred and ninety ninth “secret weapon”.

At least none of the new employees appear to be relatives of the Minister, but I fear our Govt has bought yet more pups.

Having read the latest edition of Fox Pops newsletters I must admit it was amusing…young Matt flexing his muscles while Alan is away.
Great news though, the four new puppies have everyone excited at the prospect of producing a fox after nine years of trying.
All those thousands of sightings…should be easy, just drive out in bush or the local fields and go bang. The evidence everyone wants with the blood still dripping out of it.
