This year Edge Radio celebrates a whopping EIGHT YEARS supporting Tasmanian music, arts and culture.

Friday June 24 will see Sydney act THE IVYS jet-setting down to Tassie exclusively for the party.

Join us at the Republic Bar & Café from 8pm with special friends MESS O REDS, and BONE RATTLERS supporting.

Tickets are $10 pre-sale and for Edge Supporters, or $15 on the door with all money raised going towards keeping Edge Radio alive and rockin’.

Program Director, Brad Duence, says “Edge Radio is a not-for-profit, independent station that relies on sponsors and the community’s support to operate. The bands, the Republic Bar & Café, and Edge workers are volunteering their time and energy to put on the Edge Birthday Party. I feel it’s important each year to celebrate the fantastic contribution community radio and independent media makes to the local arts scene, music industry, media landscape, and community as whole.”

Local acts Mess O Reds and Bone Rattlers, as well as Sydney’s The Ivys have all produced CDs which have made it as coveted Edge Radio Recommend releases. They have shown exceptional support for community radio throughout their careers and understand its importance for emerging artists and musicians.
