Along with the Shadow Treasurer, Peter Gutwein, I today meet with the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Technical College, which is facing closure at the end of this year.
The ongoing maintenance of this successful College is critical, particularly given the failings in the Premier’s post-year 10 education experiment.
David Bartlett needs to indicate whether he supports the continuation of the Australian Technical College, and if so, what he is doing in order to achieve that outcome.
If the Catholic Education sector is unable to make the model work for them, David Bartlett should be active in ensuring an alternative is available.
Just absorbing it into the Polytechnic adds to the mess we already have.
Let’s make sure students have the choice available of the ATC, which won the award of RTO for the Year.
