Skateboarding Australia (SbA) is again on the lookout for Australia’s best junior skateboarding talent during the first qualifying round of its National junior skateboarding series the “SbA DEW Series presented by Arnette” to be held in Devonport Tasmania.

The first stop of the National junior series is being held on December 5, 2009, the biggest event held at the newly constructed Devonport Skate Park.

The SbA DEW Series is Australia’s only nationally coordinated junior skateboarding series and acts as an important link between local skateboarding communities and the elite Australian skateboarding industry.

Now in its fourth year the SbA DEW Series is continuing to provide a traditional sporting pathway, a feat rarely seen in action sports today. By establishing these traditional sporting pathways, SbA is creating the essential building blocks for these budding sports stars to turn their dreams of becoming professional athletes into reality.

The 2008 National Final of the SbA DEW Series in Sydney saw, Hobart teen, Ben Priseman, take out 6th position in Australia for the 14’s and Under Boys category, proving Tasmania as a competitive hotspot for skateboarding talent.
